Scratches on rims are not only unsightly, but they can also lead to rust and other damage. Fortunately, there are a number of ways to remove scratches from rims, depending on the severity of the scratch.
For minor scratches, a simple car wax or polish may be enough to remove them. Apply the wax or polish to a clean, dry rim and buff it in with a soft cloth. If the scratches are deeper, you may need to use a rubbing compound or sandpaper. Apply the rubbing compound or sandpaper to the scratched area and rub it in a circular motion. Be sure to use a light touch, as you don’t want to damage the rim. Once the scratches are removed, you can apply a car wax or polish to protect the rim.
